1. We Were Created in God’s Image — to Reflect and Receive His Love
Being made in God’s image means we were created with the capacity for relationship, meaning, and love.
Bible Verses
- Genesis 1:26–27 – “Let us make mankind in our image… So God created mankind in his own image…”
- Psalm 139:13–14 – You were “fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Meaning:
You are designed to reflect God’s character and receive His affection. You’re not accidental — you were intentionally created for love.
Relationship
2. God Created Us for Relationship With Him
The Bible shows God walking with His people from the beginning. Relationship is the heart of
God’s intention.

• Genesis 3:8 – God walked in the garden with Adam and Eve.
• Jeremiah 31:3 – “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with
unfailing kindness.”
• 1 John 4:19 – “We love because He first loved us.”
Meaning:
God didn’t create humans to obey Him like robots — He created them for fellowship, closeness, and love.
Before you were Born
3. We Were Chosen to Be Loved Before We Were Born God’s love existed before we did. His decision to love us is older than creation.

• Ephesians 1:4–5 – “He chose us… in love He predestined us to be adopted as His
children.”
• Jeremiah 1:5 – “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you.”
Meaning:
We were created from love, not for proving ourselves or earning His affection.
